Corporates make beeline for UTI money market fund

[Details] Several corporates are likely to shift from current account to money market mutual funds as an instrument to boost their surplus funds. Unit Trust of India's money market fund, which opened on April 23, has already mopped up over Rs 30 crore. Market sources say the institution is flooded with queries on the fund from cash-rich corporates.

ITC steals limelight in divergent trend on heavy FII buying

[Details] ITC Ltd stole the limelight in a mixed pattern of trading on the Mumbai stock market on Thursday on heavy purchases by foreign institutional investors despite a modest beating in the Front-line scrips as a result of profit taking. FIIs were reported to have bought 5 lakh shares of the tobacco company.

DSE has, however, ruled out any tie-up with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
