[Details] The Union power minister's announcement that India has decided to buy 3,000 MW of surplus hydel power from Pakistan is topping news. India needs the power and Pakistan seems to be willing to let power be transmitted from Lahore to India's northern grid.

There are scores of finance companies which have raised money at extraordinarily high rates, and lent even higher, and the combined effect of lower markets, less liquidity, and an industrial slowdown have affected these companies' asset portfolio.
