PUNE, May 22: T S Raghavan on Thursday took over as the Bank of Maharashtra chairman and managing director He succeeds SA Kamath, who retired on April 31. Before being given the new assignment, Raghavan was executive director of Vijaya Bank. He began his career with the Indian Overseas Bank in 1964.

While in service at the Madras-based bank, Raghavan rose from the ranks to become the general manager. Raghavan has a rich experience, having served the banking industry for 33 years.
