MUMBAI, May 22: The National Stock Exchange has been holding a series of investor awareness programmes in Maharashtra. The exchange has already completed these programmes in 11 cities of Maharashtra and will cover another 11 in the coming month.

The programme includes a presentation on the NSE trading system and clearing operations.

Managing director RH Patil said, "the NSE aims at providing a fair, efficient and transparent securities market and this programme has been designed to help investors understand the functioning of stock markets in the country.''
