ABB picks up 51 per cent in Mumbai firm

Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) has acquired a 51% equity stake in Mumbai-based Lenzohm Electrical Engineering with the aim of enhancing its ``service'' profile in the country. The new company will be called ABB Lenzohm Service.

The Delhi high court on Friday asked the Central government to make its position clear on whether the applications for purchase of direct-to-home (DTH) equipment would be processed quickly or not. The bench comprising justice AB Saharya and SN Kapoor described the affidavit filed by the assistant wireless advisor to the government, S Venkatasubramanian, as "full of innuendoes".
