Sitaram Kesri, Pawar file nominations

Congress president Sitaram Kesri yesterday filed his nomination for election to the post of party President after Maratha strongman Sharad Pawar entered the fray declaring that the Congress position was ``really pathetic'' and there was crisis of both leadership and credibility.

Capexil targets export growth of 24%

Chemicals & Allied Products Export Promotion Council (Capexil) has targetted an export growth rate of around 24%. In 1996-97, Capexil members had exported goods worth $2,242.30 million against the previous year's $2,223.90 million, registering a growth of mere 0.8%.
