Brokers soften stand on indemnity bond issue

[Details] There was a clear softening of stand by Mumbai-based members of the National Stock Exchange in furnishing personal indemnity bonds. At a meeting of members organised by the Association of NSE Members of India, the NSE authorities agreed to extend the June 15 deadline by another 15 days.

BSE suspends trading in Vatsa Corp shares

[Details] The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) yesterday decided to suspend trading in equity shares of Vatsa Corporation for three days, beginning on Monday. The suspension follows the company's failure to resolve 631 investors' complaints despite constant reminders from the bourse.

Oriental cover for NSE members soon

[Details] The Oriental Insurance Company will unveil a detailed policy cover for all National Stock Exchange members by Wednesday. The insurance firm has also kept in abeyance settlement of sub-broker claims till it gets legal opinion on the matter which it has sought from Amarchand and Mangaldas.
