Money flow ensures Sensex rise

[Details] The influence in the market for the last one week has been less of speculation and more of genuine buying. This might sound surprising given that the average badla rates rose to two per cent a month, but at the same time brokers reported a fall in badla volumes by nearly one third and an increase in volumes for delivery.

[Details] The board of directors of the Delhi Stock Exchange (DSE) has given an in-principle approval to the setting up of a Trade Guarantee Fund (TGF) with a corpus of Rs 100 crore as an investor protection measure.

Sub-brokers' registration norm takes effect today

[Details] The Securities & Exchange Board of India's (SEBI) requirement of dealing only with registered sub-brokers comes into effect from July 1. The unrecognised brokers will not be allowed to carry out any further business and transfer deeds bearing their stamp will be treated as bad delivery.
