Hudco to enter corporate housing, area development

[Details] Housing & Urban Development Corporation is planning to enter the financing of corporate housing and area development. Hudco finance director S Sundresan stated that the board will be meeting within the next fortnight to re-define infrastructure development so that Hudco can undertake these projects.

Bharat Shell mulls alternatives to Sultanpur

[Details] Bharat Shell, the joint venture company of Bharat Petroleum and Shell International Petroleum Corporation, may consider alternative sites to Sultanpur for the Uttar Pradesh refinery. A team from BPCL and Shell is conducting a feasibility study and the findings will be submitted in nine months.

SAIL to prune expenditure by 10 per cent

[Details] Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is planning to prune its capital expenditure of Rs 15,000 crore by 10% for the Ninth Plan. In the first year of the Ninth Plan, SAIL was planning to cut investment expenditure by about Rs 700 crore.
