NSE to submit details of fake shares entry

[Details] The National Stock Exchange (NSE) will shortly submit details to the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) of instances where fake shares have been introduced at the bourse through brokers of other stock exchanges.

Merchant bankers seek segregation of fee, fund-based businesses

[Details] The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) yesterday held a meeting with the Association of Merchant Bankers of India (Ambi) to thrash out several issues that have come to light in the wake of the CRB Capital Markets fiasco. The main point of discussion was the issue of segregation of the fee and fund-based activities of a merchant banker so that there is no confusion about the regulation of these functions.

[Details] Housing and Urban Development Corporation (Hudco) plans to raise Rs 500 crore through private placement of taxable and taxfree bonds. In a fluctuating interest rate market, the coupon payable on these bonds will be decided through a book building exercise.
