Amitabh Bachchan has divested his holding in Mumbai-based drug company Makers Laboratories in what is seen as yet another move to move out of non-core businesses. The move has come close on the heels of the Bachchans' proposed divestment in Ipca Laboratories.

UTI mops up Rs 180 crore through IT offshore fund
The Unit Trust of India (UTI) has garnered funds to the tune of Rs 180 crore through its Information Technology Fund. The 5-year close-ended fund which has a 3-year lock-in period.

Indian Bank unlikely to get fresh recap funds
Scam-scarred Indian Bank is unlikely to receive more than Rs 1,000 crore as recapitalisation funds this fiscal. The Department of Banking will determine the precise amount only after the bank management presents its revival package.
