Tata Steel Q1 sales up 10%, may shift cold-rolling mill
Tata Steel chairman Ratan Tata anounced that in the first quarter of the current financial year, the company's sales in volume terms have gone up by 10%, while total income increased 11% compared with a year ago. He added that Tisco would consider relocating the planned 1.2 million cold-rolling mill project from Gopalpur, Orissa, to Jamshedpur in Bihar.

Kinetic Transportation targets Rs 20 cr sales
Kinetic Transportation Products (KTPL), the joint venture between Kinetic Engineering (KEL) and Hyundai Corporation, plans to go public by 1999-2000. The company has targetted a Rs 20-crore turnover for the current year, doubling each year, to reach Rs 80 crore by 1999-2000.
