GEC Alsthom India has recast its board with the induction of four additional directors. The board will now have four executive directors and nine non-executive directors, apart from chairman and managing director R K Daga.

EPB to hold second meet on August 18
The high-powered Export Promotion Board (EPB), headed by cabinet secretary TSR Subramanian, will have its second meeting on Monday to follow up the decisions taken at the first one to reduce the time taken for speedy disposal of import and export goods.

HDFC to part-finance housing schemes via DM credit line
Housing and Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) plans to utilise part of Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau's (KfW) DM30-million third line of credit for short-term, income-generating loans to those living below the poverty line.
