Investors seek more incentives in road sector

[Details] Prospective investors in the road sector have sought a slew of fresh incentives from the Union ministry of surface transport (MoST). Apart from permission to float tax-free bonds to raise funds for highway projects, they have asked for exclusive rights to develop real estate along with the highway projects and changes in the income tax exemption norms.

Price Waterhouse calls for setting up debt dealers' body

[Details] Price Waterhouse has called for an urgent need for setting up a Debt Dealers Association of India which should encourage institutions like Unit Trust of India and state-owned banks to trade their holdings of corporate debentures. This is because there is a virtual lack of trading in corporate debt by the state-owned banks and FIs.
