Hyderabad bourse up in arms against entry of BOLT terminals

[Details] In a firm move to block the entry of BSE On-line trading system (BOLT) into Hyderabad, the Hyderabad Stock Exchange (HSE) has rejected the application of H N Rathi, the former HSE president and a leading broker, to set up a BOLT terminal within the city limit.

NSDL to take up dividend distribution of corporates

[Details] The National Stock Depositories Limited (NSDL) is planning to take up the distribution of dividend payouts by the corporate sector to NSDL account holders. If this comes through, NSDL will be the first intermediary in the country to provide such a service to investors.

Snag stalls markets; Sensex dips 57 points

[Details] Pivotals took a beating yesterday in the absence of a trading session on the National Stock Exchange. Operators were seen offloading their positions on the last day of the settlement as they could not shift their positions to the NSE. The absence of institutional players further dampened share prices, with the Sensex losing 57 points to end the session at 3,847.73.
