Helmet manufacturers have a nice time but they haven't struck a gold mine
November 1 was the day helmet manufacturers, small as well as big, were eagerly waiting for. With the helmet becoming mandatory for pillion-riders on two-wheelers as per the high court orders, the manufacturers were expecting a windfall. Some even started manufacturing in advance. The sales indeed shot up, but for most of the helmet makers, it has not matched their expectations.
