[Details] Ivory Coast is hoping to raise cocoa quality by equipping cooperatives with solar powered bean dryers in greenhouses to cut humidity to exportable levels. A project document says the aim is to use renewable energy to improve the quality and speed of drying cocoa. Damp or mouldy beans have a taste which chocolate makers try to avoid in their search for the perfect munch.
