Stamps to mark all occasions
As per the guidelines laid down by Universal Postal Union for its member countries, stamps released have to relate to the culture and ethnic identity of the country and should be of philatelic value. Every year, the Department of Posts, government of India, releases special stamps on varied themes and personalities of social, historical and scientific relevance to commemorate events, institutions and eminent personalities on their jubilee centenary celebrations. Special stamps are also issued on philatelic themes such as bio-diversity, flora and fauna, architecture, arts, etc.

Service tax on transport services is unnecessary burden
The Finance Ministry, before finally taking a bow, has created some hardships for businessmen by effecting a service tax on transport services, but the responsibility of collecting and paying the service tax rests on the service user, and not the service provider. Taking a different stand in the transport services, the businessman actually has not only to collect, but to shell out additionally 5% of the gross amount of the transport charges paid by him.
