  ICICI in talks to sell part of core loan portfolio
The Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) is in talks with banks and other financial institutions to sell a part of its infrastructure loan portfolio. ICICI's infrastructure portfolio primarily consists of long-term non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The sale of these NCDs will enable ICFAI to roll over the funds deployed in projects that have already gone on stream and finance new projects.
  L&T footwear unit looks for new buyer
The takeover of Larsen & Toubro's footwear division by the New Delhi-based Mesco group is in trouble. The latter is facing a problem in coughing up the balance Rs 3 crore of the total deal amount of Rs 3.70 crore, thereby forcing L&T to open negotiations with other parties.

Forbes Gokak in talks with Israeli major for optics venture
Forbes Gokak, part of the Tata group, has initiated negotiations with Israeli major Scoppus for a joint venture for its optics division, which has been incurring losses on account of outdated technology. The company's optics division located at Waluj, Aurangabad, manufactures CR 39 lenses, popularly known as plastic lenses.
GIC MF in talks with banks, FIs for guarantee cover
GIC Mutual Fund is in talks with banks, financial institutions and insurance companies for getting a guarantee cover for its proposed income scheme Suraksha II. The scheme proposed to be launched next year will be floated only if it can give assured returns. This has prompted GIC to seek a corporate guarantee from external sources.

Peugeot 309, Armada drive past Sierra, Sumo in JD Power survey
