  GIC MF in talks with banks, FIs for guarantee cover
GIC Mutual Fund is in talks with banks, financial institutions and insurance companies for getting a guarantee cover for its proposed income scheme Suraksha II. The scheme proposed to be launched next year will be floated only if it can give assured returns. This has prompted GIC to seek a corporate guarantee from external sources.
  Crisil downgrades debt plans of Videocon, DCM Shriram
The Credit Rating & Information Services of India Ltd (Crisil) has downgraded the debt plans of six companies. The companies facing the downgradation include Videocon International and DCM Shriram Consolidated.

NSE warns members against getting duped
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has warned its members against being duped. The NSE suspects vested interests of saddling members with illiquid stocks by contacting a member over the telephone and placing such orders. The NSE has therefore cautioned its members against receiving telephone calls from persons claiming to be their existing clients.
Bank of Rajasthan clocks 10% rise, others melt down
Though most banking majors saw profit-booking arresting the rally on Tuesday, the Bank of Rajasthan scrip shot up by almost 10% on the BSE. Accompanied by a substantial increase in trading volumes, the Bank of Rajasthan scrip rose to Rs 56.50 from its previous close of Rs 51.50.

Sensex down by 69 points as bullish sentiment wavers
The bullish rally in the market fizzled out on Tuesday with the BSE-30 share sensitive index losing 69 points and most of the counters seeing some correction over the day. The fall in the Sensex has been attributed to technical corrections and heavy selling by a few foreign and local funds.

Over 12 A group stocks miss the rally
Even as the sensex dropped by 70 points on Tuesday, at least 30 group A stocks showed a growth in their values or held on to their previous levels. The activity in the market appears to have partly shifted to those counters which missed the current rally or those that were slow to catch up with the rest.
