Bharat Petroleum unveils lubricant brands in Calcutta

CALCUTTA, February 5: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has launched its new lubricants in Calcutta from February 5. The lubricants -- Automol, Mak, Gilde and Spirol -- are already available in Delhi, Mumbai and ChennaiBPCL marketing director VK Raina said the new lubricant packs having family resemblance would be available in the entire range of 5 litres to 0.25 litre throughout the country before March 31 this year.

It has gone in for segregation of product range as per the end user's need, Raina said. Automol for petrol driven cars, Mak for trucks with diesel engines, buses and diesel cars, Gilde for two wheelers and Spirol as transmission and gear oils for automotive vehicles. Although the immediate focus is on revamping the portfolio of automotive engine oils, the company has also drawn up plans to work extensively on the areas of industrial oils, auto specialities such as brake fluids, coolants and greases, Raina said
