Microsoft reorganises; combines Windows, Net browser units
In a reorganization that is certain to attract close scrutiny, Microsoft Corp has brought its Internet browser business unit into the same group as its Windows operating system. The move is a part of a shift to focus the company's efforts on two broad initiatives that Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has dubbed the `digital nervous system' for business and the `Web lifestyle' for consumers.
