  Market gives Lakme scrip a facelift as punters pin hopes on special dividend
Expectations of a liberal cash payout either in the form of cash bonus or special dividend from Lakme has reversed the falling trend in the scrip. The scrip has been hitting the upper-end circuit breaker in the last three trading sessions on both the Bombay and National stock exchanges.
  UTI to time NRI Fund launch with redemption
The Unit Trust of India (UTI) has decided to cash in on the redemption of State Bank of India's seven-year NRI Bonds by launching its NRI Fund on March 28. The move coincides with the mutual fund behemoth setting up an office in Dubai.

BSE set to scrap sunshine trades from March 25
The Bombay Stock Exchange has decided to abandon its sunshine segment, which catered to institutional investors, from March 25. A decision to this effect was taken by the exchange on March 4.
Asian currencies recover, but fears over Indonesia still lurk
Asian currencies pulled sharply back from lows reached earlier on Friday after markets were rattled again by fears that Indonesia was on the verge of adopting a controversial plan to fix the rupiah's value.
