  Reliance Industries: A daring contrarian
My biggest bet for an Indian company making it to the Fortune 100 over the coming 10 years is Reliance Industries. I present two theories to support the argument why Reliance can lead India's answer to a world wanting to boycott it in the face of the stand off with regard to the nuclear bomb; one is the simple one and the other, slightly more exhaustive and complex.
  "Blast the US challenge"
The nuclear test conducted by India seems to have stoked the patriotic fervour of non-resident Indians. Our net surfer found an interesting letter written by an NRI which we reproduce below. Dear All, As you know there are sanctions being slapped on India for the recent nuclear tests. I am not going to discuss or argue the probity of such an action. I am only interested in containing the adverse impact of such a move against India.

India now is a nuclear-weapon state: PM
India is now a nuclear weapons state with the capacity for "a big bomb", prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee declared on Friday. We have a big bomb now for which the necessary command and control system is also in place. Ours will never be weapons of aggression," the prime minister said in an interview to the India Today weekly.
