Central Electricity Authority panel zeroes in on Jalgaon to set up project
A site selection committee headed by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has selected Bhusawal in Jalgaon district, North Maharashtra, for the development of a pit -head mega power project. The capacity of the project will be decided in consultation with the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB).
EC to unveil results of cross-cultural programme
The European Commission (EC) will announce the results of its first EU-India economic cross-cultural programme in the coming week. The programme, launched last year by the commission, had received a large number of proposals but only few met the criteria.
Keshubhai unveils massive housing plan for cyclone-hit
The Gujarat government on Saturday announced an ambitious programme for the reconstruction of houses in the cyclone-hit areas. The plan involves one-third contribution each by the state, donor agency and the beneficiary. The government plans to complete the construction within a year.
