Badla rates rule steady at 16% on Mumbai bourse
Carryforward rates on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) stabilised at 16 per cent annualised basis for a net outstanding position valued at Rs 643.08 crore. While the long positions on the exchange continued to notch up to register a high of Rs 600.72 crore, the sales positions were marked at Rs 73.90 crore.

Confusion over margins' level haunts brokers
Confusion over what level of margins individual brokers would be required to pay continued to haunt Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) brokers even as the badla session was conducted on June 20. The confusion sprung on June 16 when the Sebi decided to impose margins in respect of carryforward business in any scrip if it exceeded the 3% limit of the total number of paid-up shares at the counter.

Asian market crisis, sliding yen batter Skindia GDR Index down 6%
Poor sentiments prevailed at the GDR market, as economic conditions of south east Asian markets continued to fall back on the path of recession. Mirroring the impact of the Yen's steady fall, the Skindia GDR Index nosedived by 6.06 per cent to close at 630.51 points against its previous week's close of 671.21 points recorded on June 11.
