Mismatch of Rs 3 crore detected in delivery for Stock Holding Corp
A mismatch of Rs 3 crore has been detected in the value of shares which are due to be delivered to the Stock Holding Corporation of India (SHCIL) by BoI Shareholding, the clearing house for the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). SHCIL has told the exchange that the clearing house's dues to the custodian are about Rs 7-8 crore as against the figure collated by BSE which has apparently informed the custodian that the value of shares to be delivered to SHCIL stands at Rs 4-5 crore.
City Union Bank issue oversubscribed 1.3 times
Notwithstanding an across-the-board crash in stock markets, the Rs 21-crore public issue of City Union Bank has sailed through with an encouraging response from retail investors. The public issue priced at a premium of Rs 25 has been subscribed by 1.3 times.
Political uncertainty pulls Sensex down 49 points
Political uncertainty became the latest ingredient in the market's cup of woes pulling the index down by another 50 points. The BSE 30-share index fell by 49.87 points to close at 3,180.73 down from its previous close of 3,230.60. The NSE-50 index also lost by 22.35 points to close at 919.90 over its previous close of 942.25.
