Indian Dyestuff puts industrial chemicals wing on the block
Indian Dyestuff Industries (IDI), part of the Yogindra Mafatlal group of companies, has appointed ANZ Grindlays and another investment banker to scout for a buyer or strategic partner for its Rs 65-80 crore industrial chemicals business.
Monopolies panel spikes plaint against Zee Cinema
The Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) has rejected a complaint filed by Hinduja-owned Incable Network alleging Zee Cinema's indulgence in restrictive trade practices. In an interim order, MRTPC rejected the Incable contention that charges payable by cable operators to the channels should be the same irrespective of whether operators transmit it to 100 or 500 subscribers.
Steel Authority of India to upgrade Bhilai unit
The Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has embarked on a Rs 240-crore upgradation plan at its facility at Bhilai steel plant for producing specific-quality rails for Indian Railways. SAIL has already invested Rs 140 crore, while another Rs 100 crore will be spent in ladel-heating furnace, on-line ultrasonic testing machine and ad-current testing machine.
