Top honchos to pick up managerial tips
It's time again for senior company managers to head for the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, to upgrade their skills. The three-week programme, which is expected to strengthen the expertise of the managers and teach them a few new things about management, is set to begin on August 9.
Domestic channels aim to conquer foreign skies
Domestic channels, amidst the ongoing debate among politicians and media planners about the cultural invasion by foreign satellite channels in the country, are spreading their wings to explore unchartered overseas skies. After surviving the onslaught of foreign channels and holding their own on home ground, Indian television channels are exploring the overseas market to tap the vast community of south Asian expatriates there.
Pepsi plans to uncork new-look bottle soon
Pepsi will acquire a new look by the beginning of winter this year. PepsiCo India Holdings, the company which manufactures Pepsi in India, plans to launch the soft drink in new bottles by early next year. The launch of the new bottles will take place in the middle of winter beginning with markets in southern India.
