Modi Rubber Ltd has posted a higher net profit of Rs 2.78 crore for the first quarter ended June 1998 as against Rs 2.42 crore recorded in the corresponding period the previous year. The company's turnover has gone down to Rs 221 crore in this period as compared to Rs 254 crore recorded in the previous year. Its gross profit before depreciation stood at Rs 5.18 crore.
