Reliance raises $40m 7-year overseas loan; buys back 10-year loan
Reliance Industries has concluded its first major international transaction of 1998-99 by raising a $40-million seven-year foreign-currency loan, with a simultaneous and proportional buyback of its 8.125% 10-year $150- million Yankee bond, issued in September, 1995.
Bechtel, Raytheon, Duke-Fluor Daniel in race for AES contract
Three multinational consortia, led by Bechtel Overseas Corporation, Raytheon International Inc and Duke-Fluor Daniel, are in the race for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the 500mw fast-track AES Ib Valley thermal power project in Orissa.
ICICI set to unveil car loans, mortgages
Term-lending institution ICICI, in its new avatar as a universal bank, will launch a slew of personal finance products - car loans, mortgages, loans against shares and consumer loans - over the next few months. First in the line is car loans - to be launched next month.
