HDFC bond issue mops up Rs 196 crore
The Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) has raised Rs 196 crores through its maiden privately placed bond issue. Initially, the issue was expected to raise Rs 100 crores. HDFC is expected to use its green shoe option to retain the Rs 96 crores it has raised above its declared offer.
South Indian Bank's Rs 51-crore maiden issue opens on September
The Thrissur-based South Indian Bank (SIB) will enter the capital market with its maiden public offering aggregating Rs 51.20 crore on September 22. The bank will offer 1.60 crore shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 22 per share. ICICI Securities and Finance Company (I-Sec) and SBI Capital Market will lead manage SIB's public issue, which is scheduled to close on October 3. The bank is tapping the market for meeting its long-term capital requirement.
Demat trading surges ahead as investors flock to depository
Reflecting a growing shift among investors to the depository, the percentage of demat shares delivered in the physical segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), in terms of quantity, has risen to 32 per cent in the last settlement.
