Maharashtra may team up with Hindujas to bring in Harvard business school
Smarting from the loss of the prestigious Wharton Business School to Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra chief minister Manohar Joshi on Thursday said the Hindujas were interested in bringing in an equally prestigious school to the state. Joshi said that the state government along with the Hindujas would bring the Harvard School of Business to Mumbai.
IT task force tenure to be extended
The tenure of the National Task Force of Information Technology constituted by the government is being extended by three months. A notification to this effect would be issued shortly. Besides, it is learnt that the task force is planning to set up a separate panel to come out with a report on manpower.
India pays World Bank more than it receives
India once again paid the World Bank by way of repayment and interest charges on bank loans and International Development Association (IDA) credits, $478 million more than it received in fiscal 1998, ending June 30. This has been the trend for the last few years.
