Reliance H1 sales jump 16% to Rs 7,374 cr, net up to Rs 921 cr
Reliance Industries has bucked the global downward trend in commodities business by recording robust growth in polyester, plastics and polymers for the first half of 1998-99. The increase in its production far outstripped the industry average.
Fiat's Siena model set to hit the road early next year
Fiat India Automobiles, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Italian automaker, is gearing up to introduce the Siena during the first quarter of 1999. The sedan will roll out of the company's Kurla plant, Ind Auto, in which Fiat India has a 51% stake, while Premier Automobiles holds the balance.
Baron group may shift Baroda facility to Hyderabad
The Baron group is likely to shift its manufacturing facility from Baroda in the Gujarat to Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. The group plans an investment of around Rs 100 crore for the proposed project, sources said.
