Make a purchase only when fully satisfied
Many of the well-known departmental stores in the Capital are averse to extending their services to the consumer beyond the point of purchase. The Consumer Protection Act does not have any provisions regarding exchange of goods after they have been sold, but the consumer can take the seller to the court if he has been sold something which lacks in quality.
Buyback offer no guarantee of purity
It's literally a gold rush. Being the wedding season and the Diwali time, this period of the year is synonymous with bumper gold purchases. Paradoxically, high demand is accompanied by the sale of low quality gold ornaments.
Knowledge of rules and regulations advantageous to HRD managers
Two to three decades back advertisements for personnel managers had "Legal qualification essential" as an essential tag. Ten to fifteen years back it changed to `Preference will be given to law graduates'. Today nothing is mentioned about legal knowledge for HRD executives.
