Ministry set to take up IBP alliance plan with state-run oil firms' chiefs
The ministry of petroleum and natural gas will hold a brainstorming session on Wednesday to discuss an alliance of IBP, Madras Refineries (MRL), Cochin Refineries (CRL) and Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals.
Indian Aluminium board recast on anvil; Tapan Mitra may quit
Tapan Mitra, the high-profile managing director and vice-chairman of Indian Aluminium Co, is likely to resign during the company's board meeting scheduled on October 26. The entire board will also be recast, with more directors from its Canadian associate Alcan Aluminium.
Paper Products acquires Thapar firm assets, expands capacity
Paper Products, a major player in the flexible packaging industry, has expanded its capacity with the acquisition of the Thapar group company APR Ltd's assets. The acquisition will also enable Paper Products to enter the carton segment of packaging.
