Varghese Kurien calls it a day at NDDB
An era in the Indian cooperative movement has ended. Varghese Kurien, 77, the man behind the `Milk Revolution,' has announced his retirement as chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Anand.
Over-the-counter bourse to route stocks through NSE clearing corporation
The Over The Counter Exchange of India (OTCEI), which kicks off its restructuring on Monday, has decided to route the clearing functions of its listed stocks through the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clearing corporation.
Money-supply growth surpasses projections
The money supply (M3) growth in the first half of the current fiscal has overshot the projected trajectory of 15-15.5% by a wide margin to be pegged at 19.3%. The spurt has been mainly because of the inflow of Rs 17,945 crore into the system on account of the Resurgent India Bond (RIB) proceeds.
