Government mulls reduction in IDBI stake to 49%
The Centre will reduce its stake in the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) from 72.69 per cent to 49 per cent during the current fiscal. A number of options are being weighed for carrying out the exercise.
Center privately places Rs 5,000 crore with RBI
The government privately placed Rs 5,000 crore with the Reserve Bank of India on Monday. This is the second private placement by the government in the past one month. Earlier it had placed Rs 3,000 crore with the RBI on October 16.
