Columbia Tristar files FIPB plea
Move over, Bollywood bluster, Hollywood hungama is set for its first take in amchi Mumbai. Columbia Tristar has filed an application with the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) for permission to produce Hindi movies.
BPL plans foray into home PC segment
The Rs 3,200-crore BPL group has decided to make a debut in the domestic home PC segment by April 1999. The new multimedia product from the Nambiars is currently being manufactured at the group's Arikkere unit near Bangalore.
L'Oreal banks on "Maybelline" range to beat MNC rivals
L'Oreal, which has just rolled out its colour cosmetics range 'Maybelline', plans to become the number two player in the domestic cosmetics industry in three years, according to Indelor India Pvt Ltd managing director Goeff Skingsley.
