Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd is ready to enter the domestic long-distance telephony sector by the end of this year. The new telecom policy, expected in the next few weeks, is likely to allow the entry of new players in this lucrative segment.
Coca-cola to set up two bottling plants in Maharashtra
Coca-Cola, the soft drinks giant, has decided to invest Rs 200 crore for setting up two state-of-the-art mega bottling plants in Maharashtra. A high-level team will soon hold meetings with the officials of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) for selecting the site.
Hoganas India plans to double output; sets sight on Rs 28-cr turnover
Hoganas India, a subsidiary of Hoganas AB, Sweden, will be doubling it production capacity to 18,000 tpa which will be operational by June, 1999. These plans were unveiled by the company's managing director Virendra K Sudat on Wednesday.
