FIPB okays Timken proposal to buy Tisco stake in venture
The Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) cleared on Saturday the US-based Timken's proposal to buy out Tata Steel's stake in their joint venture company Tata Timken. According to the proposal, the US company will buy the entire 40% stake of Tisco in the joint venture at a total cost of Rs 40 crore.
Satyam Infoway steps into VSNL turf, turns ISP today
Satyam Infoway will become the first private Internet service provider in the country on Sunday when the prime minister inaugurates its service at the Hi-tech City. Satyam's service through Satyam Online will be offered in 12 other cities within a few days, covering all the major metros.
Channel [V] set to restructure its operations, hike paid-up capital
Channel [V] has decided to restructure its business to give it a greater country-specific focus. The Hong Kong-based channel is also increasing its paid-up capital to $85 million from $50 million over the next two and a half years.
