Satyam Infoway steps into VSNL turf, turns ISP today
Satyam Infoway will become the first private Internet service provider in the country on Sunday when the prime minister inaugurates its service at the Hi-tech City. Satyam's service through Satyam Online will be offered in 12 other cities within a few days, covering all the major metros.
IRA Bill to be tabled in winter session
The government would table the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) Bill in the winter session of parliament, BK Chaturvedi, special secretary (insurance) said. However, a decision on foreign equity stake in insurance companies has not been taken by the cabinet as yet.
Utkal Alumina promoters offer project details to SPC Warburg
Promoters of Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL) -- Indian Aluminium Company Ltd (Indal), Alcan, Tata Industries and Hydro Aluminium -- have submitted a `memorandum of information' to their financial advisor, SPC Warburg, for UAIL's Rs 4,000-crore mega alumina project in Orissa.
