Waiting for the Indica: Great Expectations
It is the most-awaited car of the decade. Everywhere, it has competitors jittery, customers waiting in anticipation, and dealers tearing their hair in frustration at the sheer lack of information available with them. Whether it succeeds in the marketplace or not, the Tata Indica has already occupied mindspace far in excess of any car currently in the rollout stage.
Naidu named IT man of the year
Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has been voted the IT man of the year by the readers of three information technology magazines of Media TransAsia India. A trophy will be given to him as part of the Techies annual awards to coincide with the IT Asia-Comdex show on December 2.
Canada peddles low college cost as its USP
In the season of fairs, education appears to be the most saleable commodity. After the UK and Australia, this time it was Canada selling its wares at the front lawns of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
