New Delhi, Dec 2: The slowdown in the Indian economy and the financial crisis in the east Asia appears to have cast a dark shadow over the domestice sunrise industry.
The latest edition of the IT World Comdex India exhibition has turned out to be a damp squib with a majority of the large information technology companies staying away.
Along with poor participation, the hype and the excitement surrounding the event was conspicuously absent. The event, which normally serves as show-window for new technology and as a launch pad for new products and services, is expected to see only a handful of such announcements. The organisers blame the poor market conditions for the dismal participation at the third edition of Comdex.
