Ratan Tata committee moots sweeping reforms in key infrastructure segments
The infrastructure subject group of the prime minister's advisory council on trade and industry headed by Ratan Tata has suggested major restructuring, divestment and delicensing in various infrastructure areas including telecom, power, roads and ports.
Sub-group moots new, improved investment promotion board
The subject group on administrative and legal simplification of the prime minister's trade and industry advisory council has recommended formation of an investment promotion board which is different in form and features from the present Foreign Investment Promotion Board.
Centre must trim stake in banks: Ambani team
The Mukesh Ambani-led sub-group on capital markets and financial sector has recommended that government holding should be brought down in insurance companies, financial institutions and banks.
