JAIPUR, JAN 8: The Ashok Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan has called upon corporates, both domestic and foreign, to invest in the state which offers untapped potential for rapid economic development.Chief minister Ashok Gehlot assured industrialists at the CII summit of full cooperation from the government and to forget the past when only promises were made and nothing concrete happened.
The discussion was set in motion by well-known industrialist and president of Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry RP Goenka, when he said that what mattered was the general perception about a state rather than a host of concessions and incentives.
Goenka, who is setting up a Rs 4000-crore power plant in Rajasthan, said that the behaviour of the bureaucracy in any state played a key role in wooing investments. Gehlot said that he had asked all his ministerial colleagues to keep the "poor man in mind" while making decisions.
