Real-estate business in Delhi will not benefit from repeal of ULCRA: Experts
The government's decision repealing the Urban Land Ceiling Regulation Act (ULCRA) through an ordinance is not likely to have any impact on the gloomy real estate market of Delhi. The claim that it will facilitate development and disposal of excess land is a hollow one, feel realtors.
The lure of post-office monthly scheme
An across-the-board interest rate cut in small saving schemes may not stop investors from flocking to post-offices as the yield in some cases is still attractive. At best, the interest rate cut has narrowed the yield gap with other competing schemes.
Investors must be vary of irrational buyers
Other Asian tigers would attract better flow of funds, as these economies had undertaken stringent reforms, which would show up in corporate profits, and as scrips were available at bargain prices, India is low down in priority.
