LIC Housing net rises to Rs 62 crore
LIC Housing Finance Ltd has registered a net profit of Rs 62.23 crore during the nine-month period ended December 31, 1998, against Rs 55.23 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year, representing a growth of 12.67%.
Hughes Ispat set to commence operations in Mumbai
Move over MTNL. It's the turn of private basic service provider Hughes Ispat to corner a part of the corporate pie. With a little over a month to go for the basic telecom operator for Maharashtra to kick off its operations in the city, several corporates like Ceat, National Stock Exchange and corporates have evinced an interest in switching from MTNL to the wireless in local loop (WiLL) connectivity provided by the private service operator.
Videocon to launch India's first multimedia computer with colour TV screen
It is christened tv.comp and aspires to be the country's first multimedia computer with a 25 inch colour television screen. This latest offering from electronics and consumer goods major Videocon International is to be launched in all metro cities within the next fortnight and is expected to create an entirely new niche for itself.
