Parekh panel may ask UTI to snip US-64 equity exposure to 20%
The Deepak Parekh committee on US-64 restructuring is believed to be in favour of a drastic reduction in the equity portfolio of the fund to 20% over the medium term from the present level of about 66%.
Alcohol-based industry seeks futures trading in molasses
The All-India Alcohol-Based Industries Development Association (AABIDA) has demanded futures trading in molasses and alcohol. It has also demanded the setting up of a national board for alcohol and molasses for harmonising the present policies.
Call-money rates slip to 8.2%; may hover around 8.7%
Call rates eased close to 8.2% on last Friday. However, there was slight tightness with the beginning of the new reporting fortnight and call rates moved higher to 8.5% on Saturday.
