NTPC puts off $100 million euro bond float
The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has deferred its $100-million euro-bond issue, and firmed up plans to raise $120 million by way of loan syndication through leading foreign banks.
Chase picks up 14.99% in HDFC Bank at Rs 54 per share
HDFC Bank on Tuesday formally replaced its original strategic partner NatWest with Chase Manhattan Bank. The move follows the Chase Group's acquiring 14.99% of the NatWest stake in HDFC Bank at Rs 53 per share.
SAIL shortlists Enron, BSES for power JV
Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has shortlisted five companies including Enron and BSES to partner it in a proposed subsidiary company to operate the steel major's existing power plants.
